Izumi opened on Drumcondra Road in 2019 with a simple idea: proper Asian cooking, made fresh, for the neighbourhood that walks past our door every day.

Our kitchen brings together two traditions. On one side, the wok — Chinese classics cooked hot and fast, the way they should be. On the other, the sushi counter, where our chef works to order with fish delivered fresh each week. Sauces, stocks and marinades are made in-house. Nothing sits waiting.

We're a small room — around twenty seats — which suits us. It means we can look after every table properly, whether you're a family in for dinner, students down from DCU, or a Croke Park crowd fuelling up before a match. And when you'd rather stay in, the same kitchen and the same standards go into every delivery box that leaves us.​
